Project Information and Background
For several years, even before his exposure as a Pinoy Big Brother Season 1 Housemate, Jun Bob dela Cruz, has been doing various outreach projects for the less fortunate. Last year, along with his friends, he was able to organize three (3) charity programs: 2 of these were for his own hometown, Marilao and the most recent, a Christmas gift-giving and feeding program for 50 poor families in Malabon-Navotas.
This early, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (a church-based organization at the Divine Mercy Shrine, Marilao, Bulacan), asked for our help in soliciting donations for bags and notebooks in preparation for the next school year. We wish to raise a minimum donation of 100 schoolbags and 1000 notebooks for this project.
We are hoping to solicit the support of generous friends to donate the above-mentioned items, which will benefit the less fortunate grade-school children in a community near the Divine Mercy Shrine.
The bags and notebooks will be handed to the kids in a ceremonial turn-over on February 23, 2008, 4:00pm at the Divine Mercy Shrine Ampi-theater.
We hope you can share your blessings with these children. Your generosity will definitely inspire them to continue with their schooling next year.
